What we collect when you use Megaphone, why we need it, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted.
Megaphone, at videoeditoraifree.com, turns long videos into short clips and publishes them to the social accounts you connect. This policy explains what personal data that involves. For anything in it, email support@videoeditoraifree.com.
We use this data to:
We don't sell your data, don't use it for advertising, and don't use your content to train AI models.
We handle your data because it is necessary to provide the service you signed up for, and, for security and fixing faults, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and working.
You connect an account by signing in to the platform and approving the access Megaphone asks for. We use that access only to publish what you schedule, and never to read your private messages, your other videos or your analytics. Access tokens are stored encrypted, are used only to identify the account and publish to it, and are never shared with anyone else.
Megaphone uses YouTube API Services. Google’s consent screen names the app The Crimson Market, the company behind Megaphone; its privacy policy covers every app that shares that sign-in. When you connect a channel, we read its ID, title, description and thumbnail, so you can see which channel you are publishing to (the “see your YouTube account” permission). When a scheduled short is due, we upload it to that channel with the title, description, tags and visibility you chose (the “manage your YouTube videos” permission). We keep the video’s ID and link so you can find the post. We don’t read your existing videos, comments or channel analytics.
By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove Megaphone’s access at any time from your Google security settings, as well as by disconnecting the channel in Megaphone.
Megaphone’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don’t use Google user data for advertising, don’t sell it, and don’t use it to train AI models.
When you connect Facebook, we read the list of Pages you manage and, for Instagram, the professional account linked to each Page: their IDs, names and usernames, and the Page access token needed to post. If you connect Instagram directly, we read your account’s ID, username, account type and profile picture. When a post is due, we publish the reel you scheduled and, if you wrote one, its first comment. We don’t read your posts, comments, followers or insights.
You can remove Megaphone from Facebook’s business integrations settings or Instagram’s apps and websites settings. When Meta tells us you have, we delete the access tokens we hold for that account.
When you connect TikTok, we read your account’s ID, display name and avatar. Before posting we check the creator settings TikTok reports, such as which privacy levels and interactions your account allows and the longest video it accepts, then upload the video with the caption, privacy and interaction settings you chose. You can remove Megaphone in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy, Security, Apps and services.
Expired data is removed by a clean-up we run periodically, not the instant a date passes, so removal can lag a little behind these periods.
Deletion reaches our copies and the copies our providers let us delete, but not quite everything: AssemblyAI keeps a transcript's ID and audio duration for billing, and Google keeps Gemini prompts, which contain transcript text, for up to 55 days to detect abuse. Details are on the sub-processor list.
Data travels over encrypted connections. Uploaded source videos sit in private storage reached only through short-lived signed links, and access to production systems is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you without undue delay.
Megaphone and its sub-processors process data mainly in the United States. If you are elsewhere, your data is transferred there, and we rely on our providers' contractual safeguards for those transfers.
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop or limit how we use it. Email support@videoeditoraifree.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
To delete the data we hold about a connected account, disconnect it in Megaphone, remove Megaphone’s access in the platform’s settings (see Connected platforms), or email us from the address you sign in with and name the account. We delete data we received from YouTube within 7 days of your request, and data from other platforms within 30 days.
If you appear in someone else's video and want your voice or image removed, email us with a link or enough detail to find it. We'll work with the workspace that uploaded it to act on your request.
Megaphone is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects how your data is used, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
